Keto Snacks That Aren’t Meat, Cheese, Eggs, or Nuts

Seems like everyone is on the keto diet (or some version of it) these days. So, we all know the majority of your food consumption will be from meat (fatty meats like sausage, bacon, salami, steak), cheeses, eggs, and low carb vegetables. But, what do you do when you want a snack and 1. none of that sounds good because you’ve been eating it for weeks and 2. you don’t have time or just don’t want to have to cook something? Luckily, there are a few options I have found that are still very low or even no carb at all, taste delicious, and will curb your snacky cravings. (I’m a HUGE snacker – I usually snack all night as opposed to actually eating dinner).

Pork Rinds

This is the kind my husband swears by. They are ZERO carb and each serving (.5 ounces) has 4.5g of fat and 8 grams of protein. Really not too shabby.

Quest Chips

These are surprisingly tasty and only have 4 grams of net carbs (keto is based on net carbs – total carb minus dietary fiber). Plus, each bag has 4.5 grams of fat and 19 grams of protein. We are big Quest fans in this household on low carb days.

Green Giant Mashed Cauliflower Cheddar & Bacon

I have literally been eating this daily for the past week since we discovered it. All you have to do is pop it in the oven and then refrigerate whatever’s left for later. My husband added garlic powder (and extra bacon because obviously, he loves me). It seriously tastes like bacon cheddar mashed potatoes. SO GOOD!

Quest Multi-purpose Mix

Told you we are big Quest fans. For those of you that follow me on any social media, you know that I have a protein pancake just about every morning, but you can use this protein mix for anything you are making or baking. This is the protein mix I use – plus one whole egg and a splash of almond milk (takes a total of five minutes to make). Now, for a keto diet, you want to stay high in fat and low in carb. This is low in carb, but not high in fat so you will need to add your own fat to it. I cook my pancakes in either MCT oil or Ghee (pictured below). Both are incredibly high in good fat.
